In 2009, I took a cruise from Argentina to the Antarctic Peninsula, and one of our stops was Vernadsky Station, a Ukranian research station. The scientists there built this just outside the back door of the station — I don’t know for sure, but it’s almost 100% certain that this is the southernmost soccer pitch in the world.
Not exactly regulation, but on a nice day like this one (22 degrees and not snowing), it plays.
