Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 Prize Money Announced : Up 14 percent : Winner Gets $4.1 million USD

Total prize money at the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 will be up 14 per cent compared with the last edition in South Africa in 2009.

In total a prize pool of $20m USD will be shared among the eight participating nations with the winner and runner-up getting $4.1m USD and $3.6m USD, respectively. Third-place team earns $3 million and the fourth-place team gets $2.5 million, while the four teams that don’t advance from the group stage will make $1.7 million.

Joining the host country Brazil this June will be, the Africa champions Nigeria, World Cup and European champion Spain along with Italy, Japan, Mexico, Tahiti, and Uruguay.
