Former basketball star’s son, Conner, has been arrested for allegedly trying to hit his girlfriend with his car.

Former Boston Celtics and 12-time NBA All-Star Larry Bird is back in the headlines, and for all the wrong reasons. Larry’s 21-year-old son Conner Bird was arrested on Feb. 10 by the Indiana University campus police, after he allegedly tried to run down his girlfriend with his car. Thankfully, he was unsuccessful.

Conner Bird Allegedly Attacks His Girlfriend

Conner was arrested after his victim escaped and got away safely, TMZ reports. His girlfriend told police that Conner threw a cell phone at her during an argument at his apartment, and it hit her on the wrist.

That night, Conner and his girlfriend were driving towards the college stadium when they started arguing again, and she got out of the car to walk home. Conner did not take this well, according to the report, and he started chasing her with his car through the parking lot, attempting to run her over.

She thankfully was helped by a passerby, and they located a police officer. Conner was then arrested for intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, battery with injury, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

That is quite a list…

This is not the first time Conner has been arrested, and he was reportedly cuffed in 2011 for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
