Police are currently hunting for the suspected cop killer with a door-to-door search in Big Bear Lake, California, before he strikes again.
Christopher Dorner, the former Los Angeles police officer who is suspected of shooting three people dead, including an on-duty officer, sent Anderson Cooper a package on Feb. 1, which included a bullet-riddle coin and a plan to assassinate more police.
Christopher allegedly sent Anderson a coin, given to him by the previous LAPD police chief, who was allegedly responsible for firing him from the department in 2008, a DVD and notes, admitting his belief that he was fired by a “corrupt” police department. He also posted a 6,000 word message on Facebook, promising to seek revenge against the people he believes were responsible for removing him from the department.
“I never had the opportunity to have a family of my own, so I am terminating yours,” he wrote.
“Unfortunately, I will not be alive to see my name cleared. That's what this is about, my name. A man is nothing without his name. I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty,” he continued.
Christopher is assumed to be armed with multiple weapons. So when will this all end? “The attacks will stop when the department states the truth about my innocence,” Christopher said.
Authorities discovered Christopher’s burned-out truck in the National Forest outside of Big Bear Lake, California on Feb. 7. He’s still on the run. “He could be anywhere at this point,” San Bernadino County Sheriff John McMahon said.
