Selena Gomez used her performance at a UNICEF benefit in NYC on Jan. 19 to take digs at her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber by performing the notorious break-up songs “Cry Me A River” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”. But, it might have been her behavior after the charity concert that dug at her ex the hardest! Selena was spotted partying late into the evening, taking an unidentified man back to her hotel!
According to Page Six, the former Disney princess stayed at the event’s after party until 2:30 a.m. Upon leaving, she was spotted entering her car with a “scruffy young guy,” according to an eyewitness. The mystery man was reportedly wearing a white flower from Selena’s headband in his hair!
As the report alleges, when the car driving the two arrived at Selena’s hotel, The London, the pop star entered alone because of photographers who were gathered outside the entrance. Sneaky!
Selena Gomez Sings Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’
Before Selena’s night of partying, she performed some songs that seemed chosen very specifically to reference her break-up with Justin. Before singing Justin Timberlake‘s “Cry Me A River,” she told the audience, “I've been through a lot the last couple of months. It's been sad and cool, but interesting. This song definitely speaks to me.” At the end of the song, she let out a laugh and said, “Well, enough of that.”
Selena Finds Inspiration From BFF Taylor Swift
The “Love You Like A Love Song” singer also performed her BFF Taylor Swift‘s break-up track, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” She told the crowd that she wanted to sing a song that her “best friend in the entire world” wrote. She introduced the song by saying, “If you've ever felt pain, you know this one.”
