Meredith swoops in to nurse a sick Aria back to health — but what does she really have up her sleeve?
As if Aria’s relationship with her dad wasn’t messed up enough, Byron’s mistress re-enters the picture in a big way during the second half of Pretty Little Liars‘ third season — and come Jan. 22, our girl might have a situation of Misery proportions on her hands. According to ABC Family, Aria is “down for the count when sidelined by the flu,” so Meredith (Amanda Schull) “steps up to help take care of Aria while her father is away.”
But don’t let the skank in nurse’s clothing fool you. It doesn’t take long before we learn Meredith “may have ulterior motives to her nursing Aria back to health.”
Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) “follow up on a new clue,” while Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) celebrate their anniversary.
Right, like that will end well.

HollywoodLife.com recently chatted with the stars of Pretty Little Liars at ABC Family’s Winter Wonderland event in NYC, and they gave us a taste of what’s to come — including what we can expect when Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin arrives in Rosewood.
“I was so amazed by all of her gold medals, and her bronze as well” Shay gushed. “It was really cool to work with her, and she was such a professional. She knew her mark, knew her lines; I was kind of like, ‘Wow! You are amazing.’”
Speaking of ladies in Emily’s life, it sounds like Paige (Lindsey Shaw) will continue to help her move on from the late-great Maya (Bianca Lawson).
“Maya was her first real relationship, and I think it was extremely hard for Emily,” Shay said. “But at the same time, it does show that life goes on and you have to move forward with it. And I do think that Paige has been an amazing person for Emily, so I love their relationship.”
