Although it’s been more than three years since David’s sex scandal was revealed, David says he’s still ‘looking to find out why I behaved the way I behaved.’

David Letterman sits down for an emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey on Jan. 6, in which he finally opens up about his infamous sex scandal with a multitude of his Late Show employees.

On the Oct. 1, 2009 episode of The Late Show with David Letterman, he directly confirmed having sexual relations with not one, but multiple female employees over the years. The news of his infidelities surfaced just six months after he married his long-time girlfriend — and mother of his son, Harry — Regina Lasko in March 2009.

On a new episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, airing Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on OWN, David speaks out about the scandal and admits to Oprah, “I have no one to blame but myself.”

“I want to be the person I always thought I was, and probably was pretending I was,” he says in the interview. “I hurt a lot of people. … I'm not looking to blame anybody. I'm looking to find out why I behaved the way I behaved.”

It’s clear David has remorse for his actions, and on a brighter note, he and his wife are still together! He claims that, since he came clean about his infidelities, his relationship with Regina has gotten even better.

To hear more from David himself, tune into the intense interview this Sunday on OWN. Watch a preview below:
