The singer stunned in a sparkling red Michael Kors backless gown for the occasion — and she was on fire!
Alicia Keys performed at the Public Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 21, where the singer looked sensational in a sparkling, red, backless long-sleeved Michael Kors gown from the Fall 2012 collection. Statement earrings added the finishing touches to her perfect performance look.
The Grammy award winning singer wowed the crowd when she belted out her hit, “Girl On Fire,” while wearing a crimson matte jersey goddess gown with crystal embroidery — and it was the open back detailing that really stole the show! Alicia selected American designer Michael Kors, who happens to be a major favorite of the First Lady’s. In fact, on Jan. 20 Michelle rewore a sequin black boat-neck dress from the designer that she first showed off four years ago, back in September 2009.
While we have yet to see what Michelle Obama will wear to the Inaugural Ball, we already saw the fashionable First Lady in a custom-made checkered Thom Browne coat and gray dress for the Inauguration Day. She paired her ensemble with an embellished J. Crew belt and shoes by the designer, opting to slip into a pair of Reed Krakoff boots as the day went on. A Reed Krakoff cardigan was worn over her sleeveless frock, while a purple pair of J. Crew gloves kept her warm on the brisk day.
What did you think of Alicia’s look? Did you like her red gown as much as we did?
