Since bursting onto the scene in movies like

Pitch Perfect,
Rebel Wilson has pretty much become America's new sweetheart — better luck next time,
Jennifer Aniston — so it only makes sense that she should be given the prestigious task of hosting the
2013 MTV Movie Awards! During the
emotional final episode of Jersey Shore on Dec. 20, MTV debuted the first official promo for next year's big show, and it looks just as ridiculous as you might expect.
In the video, Rebel is taken prisoner by
Matt Lucas — who also played her counterpart in
Bridesmaids — but even under the harshest of conditions, nothing can keep Rebel from her one true love: a sweet, sweet candy bar. (Fat Amy is
real, you guys!) Rebel joins a long list of funny ladies to have hosted MTV's annual salute to cinema, one that includes the likes of
Sarah Silverman (2007),
Jessica Alba (2006),
Lindsay Lohan (2004) and
