Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse who allegedly committed suicide after she transferred a prank call to Kate Middleton's hospital room, apparently 'died of shame,' according to her brother. Read on for more on this tragic story.

Jacintha Saldanha, 46, a nurse at King Edward VII Hospital where Kate Middleton was being treated for severe morning sickness, reportedly "died of shame." Her brother Naveen reportedly told the Daily Mail that his sister was a "proper and righteous person." Jacintha, a wife and mother of two, was a devout Catholic and would have been "devastated" for unknowingly revealing confidential information regarding the Duchess of Cambridge's condition, according to her brother. "She would have felt much shame about the incident," he said. Jacintha's tragic death follows a prank phone call where two Australian DJs, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, pretended to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles on Dec. 4. Fourty-eight hours later, Jacintha was found dead. Her husband Benedict Barboza, 49, an accountant, said he was "devastated" by his wife's death. Jacintha has two children, 14-year-old Lisha and 16-year-old Junal.
