Adam Lanza. After learning that he had been
burning himself in an attempt to "feel something," the Daily Beast reports that Adam was stricken by a condition that stopped his body from feeling any physical pain.

Richard Novia, the Newtown school district's then head of security, tells the website that the condition required extra supervision for Adam whenever he was around or handling equipment with which he could hurt himself without knowing. He also said he remembered Adam having spells where something psychological happened in conjunction with his condition. Richard recalled him becoming so withdrawn that
