Is Coldplay Taking A Break? Nov 23rd 2012, 22:51 Bad news for Coldplay fans -- the band announced it will be taking a HUGE break at a show in Brisbane, Australia on Nov. 21, according to a new report. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin reportedly told concertgoers in Brisbane, Australia on Nov. 21 that the band wanted to make that night's show their best ever because they'd be taking an extended break. "This is the last big show for three years or so," Chris said, according to Huffington Post. "I don't want to stop." While the group does have a number of shows lined up before their New Years' Eve show with Jay-Z, we likely won't see Coldplay take on an arena until at least 2016.
