Lil Wayne Cut His Dreadlocks: See The Drastic Hair Makeover Dec 5th 2001, 00:00 Breaking beauty news: The rapper famous for his major dreads, just completely cut them off! Lil Wayne, 30, has had his signature dreads for as long as we can remember and now, in a drastic turn of events, they are gone and replaced by a a super-short cut. The star’s hairstyle may have varied slightly between dreads, braids, long or short, but some incarnation of the dreads was always there. Lil Wayne’s Dreads: Now You See Them Now You Don’t The star, who has been a rap prodigy since the tender age of 11 has been so attached to his hair, he’s even mentioned the ‘do in several songs. In the Ester Dean song Drop it low remix with Chris Brown, he croons, “Hair to the back, Hat to the front,” and in his song I’m Single, he raps, “dreads braided to the back, Im chillin but my swag on full attack.” So it’s obvious Wayne has always been attached to his hair. Something else the superstar is famous for: his tatoos. “Tattoos are just a way of expressing myself. Me being me. I just went crazy. I don’t know what happened. I think somebody slipped something in my drink, like a drug that’ll make you get, like, a bunch of tattoo,” he told GQ. Rapper and skateboarding enthusiast Lil Wayne recently added two new tattoos to his face in the form of Baker skateboards and Deathwish skateboards logos. He got Baker Skateboards’ “Baked” logo on the right side of his forehead. Below that, closer to his right eye, is a small Deathwish Skateboards logo.
