No one knew they were dating, but ‘Little House on the Prairie’ star, 48, is engaged to ‘Thirty Something’s’ Timothy Busfield!
On Tuesday, Jan. 29, Melissa Gilbert announced that she will wed Timothy Busfield, surprising millions of her fans in the process.
“They’ve known each other for quite some time, as their paths have crossed off-and-on over the past 20 years,” a source told Us Weekly.
Melissa, a mother of two, and Timothy were engaged over the holidays and celebrated their impending nuptials at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills on Jan. 28.
This will be the third marriage for both Melissa and Timothy, 55.
Previously, Melissa was married to Bo Brinkman and Bruce Boxleitner. Before her marriages, Melissa was romantically linked to Tom Cruise, John Cusack, Scott Baio and Rob Lowe, whom she dated for six years.
Timothy was previously married to Radha Delmarter and then Jennifer Merwin. He has three children.
A source close to Melissa confirmed to People magazine that they are both “incredibly happy” over the engagement.
Melissa recently appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2012, where she partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and placed in fifth.
Timothy has appeared in TV series Blue Bloods and Law & Order, and directed episodes of Damages, Lipstick Jungle and Without a Trace.
