A Connecticut attorney is blaming the state for the brutal massacre that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14. He wants to sue the state for $100 million on behalf of one of the students who survived the shooting.

Irving Pinsky filed legal documents on Thursday Dec. 27 with the Claims Commissioner, seeking permission to sue the state of Connecticut on behalf of a 6-year-old Sandy Hook Elementary School student, who survived the shootings, according to a new report.

The unidentified female student, nicknamed “Jill Doe,” suffered emotional and psychological trauma, according to the Hartford Courant.

“As a consequence, the claimant-minor child has sustained emotional and psychological trauma and injury, the nature and extent of which are yet to be determined,” the claim says.

“She was in her classroom, and over the loudspeaker came the horrific confrontation between the fellow who shot everybody and other people,” Pinsky said. “Her friends were killed. That’s pretty traumatic.”

Irving believes the shooting was preventable. He claims a “fellow like Adam Lanza would have been known as a potential problem to the police.”

20 students and six women were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Adam, who also shot his mom, Nancy Lanza, at their home, committed suicide as police arrived at the school.

Pinsky must request to file the lawsuit because the state is usually immune to most lawsuits. No decision has been made yet.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Is the state at fault? Should the 6-year-old student be able to file a lawsuit?
