Kate Upton Graces The January Cover Of British 'Vogue' Dec 6th 2012, 21:06 At just age 20, the 'New Girl' lands herself on another cover of 'Vogue'. Doesn't she look beautiful? Despite being dissed by Victoria's Secret for having "the kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy," there was a specific reason why Kate Upton was chosen British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman for their January 2013 cover! Alexandra explained, "When I decided to shoot Kate for our first cover of 2013, it was to kick off the year with a young women who is not a stereotypical fashion model - although, let's face it, she's hardly a heffalump!" Kate never wants to embrace the "super-skinny, high-fashion look." In this shoot, she resembles the All-American models from the '70s and '80s with full figures, natural hair, and minimal makeup. The tight, white, body-con dress she wore displayed her infamous curvy figure. It's not common to see a swimwear model who is used to showing off her curves make the transition to front a magazine like Vogue, where the models are normally super thin and without curves-- and for that, we commend her.
