A music teacher has become a hero after she barricaded 15 school children into a closet during the devastating Connecticut shooting on Dec. 14.

Maryrose Kristopik is truly a hero. During the terrifying school massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut she herded 15 children into a closet, while the shooter Adam Lanza banged on the door screaming, "Let me in! Let me in!" Maryrose didn't crack under the horrifying circumstances, during what has been described as the second deadliest shooting in US history. So sad.

Backstory Of The Shooting

On Dec. 14, Adam, 20, went into the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, CT, shortly after 9.40am and began shooting, for no apparent reason. He killed 26 people, 20 of whom were children aged 5 to 10 years. His mother Nancy Lanza is a teacher at the elementary, who CNN reports was found dead at Adam's residence. The principal Dawn Hochsprung was among the adults killed. Three weapons were recovered at the scene. Adam wore a bullet-proof vest and he died at the scene. Police are saying that he died from self-inflicted gun wounds.
