Dennis Quaid Files For Divorce Dec 1st 2012, 15:41 Dennis filed for divorce, ending his 8-year-long on-again/off-again marriage to Kimberly Buffington. Kimberly Buffington first filed for divorce from estranged husband Dennis Quaid in March 2012. Ironically, she withdrew the petition, only to file for legal separation in October. However, Dennis made the final move by filing for divorce on Nov. 30. Dennis, 57, reportedly requested joint custody of the couple's twin sons, Thomas and Zoe, both 4, and has offered to pay Kimberly spousal support, according to Radar Online. Apparently, the couple could not official divorce until now because they moved to California over the summer and the state requires a 6-month residency before someone can file for divorce, according to TMZ.
