Blaec Lammers is currently sitting in jail after allegedly plotting to kill moviegoers who would have attended a 'Breaking Dawn: Part 2' screening on November 18 in Bolivar, Mo. Now, his mom is speaking out on the Nov. 21 episode of 'Good Morning America,' revealing why she turned her son in to authorities.

Tricia Lammers opened up to
Good Morning America on Nov. 21, defending her decision to
turn her son in to authorities after she felt he was planning to kill moviegoers at a
Breaking Dawn Part 2 screening. "I love my community just as much as I love my son," she said, but, "I respect their right to be safe."
While Tricia did turn her son in, she does manage to defend him as well. "My son does suffer from mental illness. We have been battling this since the fall of 2008. I think any mom at any time would blame herself that she did something wrong." Holding back tears, she continued, "I hope my son gets the help that he needs." Blaec appeared in court yesterday and will undergo a mental health evaluation. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 23. Blaec was originally charged with first-degree assault, making
