Lindsay has reportedly been drinking heavily for months due to stress caused by her dire financial situation and the impending probation violation stemming from a car crash in June.
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly guzzling as much as two liters of vodka a day, turning to alcohol for relief in response to her
ongoing legal troubles. Ironically, it was her reported drinking problem that led her to
allegedly assault Tiffany Eve Mitchell at a nightclub in New York City on Nov. 28.
"Lindsay was drinking all day and showed up at the
[Justin] Bieber concert already hammered. She continued to drink throughout the night, and got extremely sloppy. Lindsay's friends have given up trying to help her because when she's drunk ... she tends to get violent -- which makes sense in light of her arrest for assault," a source tells TMZ. According to another report by Radar Online, Lindsay's drinking escalated after
horrible reviews for Liz & Dick were released. "Lindsay was completely out of control. She was drinking way too much booze and was doing cocaine," a source tells Radar Online.
