'30 Rock' Final Episode: Did Liz Lemon Get A Happy Ending? Feb 1st 2013, 13:14 After seven seasons, ten Emmys and an uncountable amount of laughs, the critically acclaimed comedy series ’30 Rock’ came to a close on Jan. 31 with an emotional final episode. 30 Rock went out with a bang! Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) got her happy ending earlier in the season by marrying hot dog vendor Criss Chross (James Marsden), but she spent the duration of the final episode on Jan. 31 rounding up the cast of TGS, a show within the show, for one last hurrah! The ending of TGS is bittersweet. Scared of what the future holds, Liz finds herself miserable as a stay at home mom. “It's OK to want to work,” Criss consoled Liz. “One of us has to. We just got it backwards: You're the dad.” “I do like ignoring your questions while I try to watch TV,” Liz agreed, before a flash forward showed her working on a bad sitcom Grizz & Herz with her two adopted children in tow. Jack Donaghy Resigns From Kabletown Futhermore, as the newly minted CEO of NBC parent Kabletown, Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) was facing his own crisis, receiving criticism from a treasured enemy, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, appearing in the finale as herself. “Jack Donaghy is an economic war criminal,” Nancy declared on a cable news network. “If the Democratic Party controls Congress, I will see to it that he is punished in the worst way possible: by having to come down here and listen to us.” Despite his joy over Nancy’s mention of his name, Jack ends up resigning from Kabletown and begins a journey to find what truly makes him happy. The Future After ‘TGS’ Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) takes Liz to a strip club, as he tries to derail the grand finale of TGS, so that no one has to say goodbye. Producer Pete Hornberger (Scott Adsit) finally acheives his dream by disappearing without a trace. Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer) is promoted to the head of NBC, where he is pitched a new comedy series taking place right there at network headquarters, 30 Rock! And so it comes full circle! “There’s a reason people don’t say honest goodbyes. It’s because when stuff is coming to an end, people freak out and they act crazy,” Liz tells Tracy in the series finale. So true, so true. We feel the same way about the end of 30 Rock. In the 2010 memoir, “Honeymoon Junkie: Everything but the Girl,” author Shaun C. Hawkins, an alleged ex of Dan Marino’s baby mama Donna Savattere, meets "Darien," a former CBS employee living a very wealthy life with a small child fathered by a mysterious man. Sound familiar? Sources say the woman in the book is Donna and the mysterious Mr. Big is none other than Dan Marino. "Darien lived on the Upper West Side and she worked at CBS," the author recalls after meeting "Darien" in the pages of this now juicy memoir. Included in our “5 Things To Know About Donna Savattere,” HollywoodLife.com told you that Donna was a production assistant at CBS Sports in Manhattan. When she became pregnant in 2005, Dan paid Donna off and sent her away to live in Texas. "I need to share something with you. I have a 1-year-old daughter named Zoë," Darien tells the author after the two begin dating. Dan and Donna’s daughter is named Chloe, The New York Post notes.  "She explained that she had dated Zoë's dad, but [...] broken up after she became pregnant," writes Shaun. "She said it was complicated, and that she was taking a sabbatical from CBS." Ed Koch Dead — Former Mayor Of New York City Dies At 88 Feb 1st 2013, 11:41 The well-respected former mayor of New York City died on Feb. 1 in Manhattan. Edward Irving “Ed” Koch, the former three-term mayor of the Big Apple, passed away on Feb. 1 in New York City. He spent most of his life living in and building up a city that he loved. He was 88 years old. Ed grew up in New Jersey, and later attended the City College of New York. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1943, where he earned two battle stars as a Combat Infantryman. In 1946 he was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant and returned to New York City to pursue a law degree from NYU School of Law. After practicing law for a number of years, Ed became active in politics. He served as a congressman for nine years in New York, and for two years as a member of the New York City Council. According to the Huffington Post, “Mayor Koch saved the City of New York from bankruptcy and in doing so restored the pride of New Yorker’s.” Following his time as mayor, Ed became a partner in the law firm of Bryan Cave LLP. He was also a commentator on politics, hosted his own evening radio program on Bloomberg AM 1130 (WBBR), and worked to eliminate anti-Semitism throughout the world. In addition to his success as a politician, a lawyer, and a commentator, he appeared in over 60 Hollywood Films and TV shows as himself, and was also an accomplished author. His books include, Mayor, Politics, His Eminence And Hizzoner, All The Best, Citizen Koch, Ed Koch On Everything, Giuliani Nasty Man, I'm Not Done Yet: Remaining Relevant, Buzz: How to Create It and Win with It, and The Koch Papers: My Fight Against Anti-Semitism. In 2008, Ed told the Associated Press, “I don’t want to leave Manhattan, even when I’m gone. This is my home.” The former mayor was truly dedicated to making his home, New York City, a better place.
